You found your way here, and I’m glad. Most people don’t go looking for a therapist on a good day. They look when the load has gotten too heavy to carry alone, when the marriage feels like two strangers passing in the kitchen, when the grief won’t lift, or when their brain feels like a browser with forty tabs open and no idea which one the music is coming from.
I’m Brandi Crum, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Paducah. I see individuals, couples, families, and teens in my office on Berger Road, and by telehealth anywhere in Kentucky. I’m a wife, a mom, a Lolli, and a woman of faith who has walked through her own hard places, so you won’t have to explain to me that life doesn’t come with instructions. You’ll get a therapist who is tender and tough in the same breath. I will sit with you in the hard, and I will also tell you the truth, because hard truths are part of my job and watered-down therapy doesn’t heal anybody.

What I Help With
Trauma and the nervous system. Trauma isn’t just what happened to you. It’s what your body still does about it. If you’re living on high alert, snapping at people you love, or numbing out just to get through supper, you are not crazy. You have unresolved crappy life experiences, and there is a trauma-informed path from wounded to whole. I hold certification in clinical trauma treatment (CCTP Level 1) and my work is grounded in how trauma actually lives in the body, not just in the story.
Grief and loss. I know grief from both sides of the couch. Nobody hands you instructions for the day the world keeps moving and yours doesn’t. Grief is not a problem to solve. It’s a load to carry, and it’s easier with somebody walking beside you.
Faith and healing. My counseling is faith-integrated for those who want it. You can have Jesus and a therapist. If faith is central to your life, we can bring it right into the room. If it’s complicated for you right now, that’s welcome here too. No pressure, no performance.
Who I Help
Couples and marriage. I use a Gottman-informed approach along with SYMBIS and Prepare/Enrich, whether you’re engaged and building the foundation or twenty years in and tired of having the same fight with different words. You complement each other. You do not complete each other, and learning the difference changes everything. We’ll work on communication that doesn’t require yelling, because when somebody yells, the other person stops being able to hear.
ADHD in adults, teens, and families. I’m an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). If you’ve spent your whole life being called lazy, scattered, or too much, hear me: you’re not lazy. Your brain works differently, and once you understand how, you can stop trying harder and start trying differently. I work with adults discovering ADHD late, teens drowning in school, and parents who love a child whose brain runs hot.
What Working With Me Is Like
Therapy with me is a working relationship, not a place you come to be nodded at. We’ll find the root of the thing, because once we find the root, we cut it off and start new growth. Some days that means peeling it back one layer at a time. Some days it means me asking, are you sure about that? Are you trying to convince me, or yourself?
Expect plain talk, real tools, and homework that fits your actual life. Expect me to notice the small cuts as much as the big wounds, because the little jabs disguised as jokes do more damage over time than the obvious ones. And expect hope, because I have watched people rebuild from rubble more times than I can count. Baby steps. Progress over perfection.
The Practical Details
Location: 234 Berger Rd, Paducah, KY 42003, with telehealth available anywhere in Kentucky.
Sessions: In person or secure video. Evening availability varies; ask when you reach out.
Fees: I am a self-pay practice, which means no insurance company deciding how many sessions you need or reading your file. It keeps your care private and between us. If cost is a barrier, ask me about sliding-scale openings through Open Path Collective. Don’t let the fee stop you from reaching out; let’s talk about it.
Getting started: Request an appointment online and I’ll be in touch, usually within one business day.

Common Questions
Do you take insurance? No. Circle of Hope Counseling Services is self-pay, which protects your privacy and keeps treatment decisions in the room with us instead of with an insurance reviewer.
Do you offer telehealth? Yes, secure video sessions for anyone located in Kentucky. Half my week is folks I’ve never shared a zip code with.
Is counseling with you religious? It’s faith-integrated when you want it to be. Some clients pray with me. Some never mention faith at all. Your session follows your need, not my agenda.
Do you see teens? Yes, and I love working with them. Teens do best when they have a voice and a say. My job is helping them find that voice and use it to fight instead of their hands.
What if I’ve never been to therapy? Then you’re my favorite kind of brave. First sessions are mostly me getting to know you and you deciding whether I’m your person. No is a complete sentence in my office too. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find who is.
One More Thing
If you have been standing in a fire with a water pistol, telling everybody you’re fine, this is me telling you that you don’t have to fight it alone anymore. Knowledge is power. When you know better, you do better, and reaching out is the first knowing.
